How can I
reach you?
You can call anytime Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 5:00
with our toll-free number-1-800-MEDQUOTE (633-7868), or E-mail us:
info@hintx.com. We do not keep you on hold forever. You're connected
with our voice mail if our lines are busy, and we try to call you
back within an hour.
Can
you mail my quotes to me?
Sure. Check your address as listed in our data sheet and E-mail
us to do just that, or call us and we can do this all over the phone.
Can I buy insurance
for less by going direct to the company?
Nope. The price is the same whether you buy direct or use us. Agents
have no control over prices, so it's the same price regardless of
whom you use.
There are other
national sites quoting rates. Why buy from you?
We're here in Texas. We know Texas rules and regulations. We're familiar
with these companies and specific coverage's for only Texas residents.
In addition, we pay taxes here, live here, and shop in Texas. More
important, we're here to service your policy. You can call us for
help with changes in your policy, claim problems, questions of coverage,
or just everyday advice. You're not stuck with dealing direct with
the "home office."
How do you
use my personal information?
Your name, the address, etc. is used to identify you. Insurance rates
are based on the number of people to be insured, their sex, age, and
where they live. That's the reason for the additional information
requested.
Do you sell
my information to other companies?
Nope. Never have, never will.
Why don't
you quote online?
Some of the better companies object to being that "open"
with their rates and policies. They also feel that the way national
quoting services operate is too general, and somewhat confusing. By
E-mailing you the information, you get more quotes from more companies.
Then we suggest you call us for our input to your decision making
process.
Why do I
need an agent?
We're here to help you. There is difference in companies and coverage
that is difficult to put in comparison charts. Sometimes, it's just
hard to make up your mind and you need a consultant who's not trying
to sell you something. Again, we're here to help you.
Perhaps more
important is that we take great pains in proofreading your application
before sending it to the company. We've found most applications
sent to us require additional information, signatures or corrections.
We phone you and complete the application for you. Also, if we think
a health condition may be a problem, we contact you to discuss it
before sending you application in. This way,you don't waste your
time and money
Can I save
money by getting an individual policy instead of group coverage?
You bet! Group rates usually run about two to three times more than
individual policies. The reason? Legislation. Group coverage must
include things like maternity, full coverage for mental and nervous
conditions, etc., that individual polices might not offer or limit.
Also, and most important, group coverage eventually must take everyone
who enrolls, regardless of their health condition. Group rates are
usually based on the claims of that particular group along with others
in the same "class." Individual policies are based upon
the claims of the "entire group of policies," not for each
policy, and applicants must be reasonably healthy to get an individual
policy.
Are family rates
less than individuals?
No. Insurance companies charge a certain amount for each person on
the policy.
Can I cover
just my wife (husband)?
Sure you can.
Can I cover
just my child (children)?
You bet. Just give us the information and we'll quote it for you
How fast
can I get coverage?
With some exceptions (see below), insurance companies have a processing
time on your application of four to six weeks. Your coverage would
begin after that.
My insurance
is expired. Now what?
We represent several companies that offer a temporary policy. They
go into force almost immediately and you buy them for 30 days at a
time. Then we can coordinate your other application to begin at the
end of the one or two month temporary policy. Call us for details.
After I get
my quotes, then what?
Take all the time you need to analyze the information. Then, narrow
your choices down to one or two that you might be interested in. Give
us a call and we can answer any questions you've come up with about
the policy you're considering, or the insurance company, or even our
assistance or opinions. We're here to help you find a good policy
for the money.
What about
maternity coverage?
This is the one area where insurance companies fall short. If you've
gotten your E-mail from us, you've noticed that most companies don't
offer it, even as an option. We've quoted some of the best ones for
you to consider, but it's tricky. You probably need to call us to
discuss these options.
Are these
the cheapest rates?
Not necessarily. Let's face it. There are some companies we wouldn't
quote if they were giving their policies away. We make every attempt
to screen new companies and policies coming into the Texas marketplace
to find you a good company and a good policy. Then, competitive rates
for good policies.
What about
an existing medical condition?
There are some conditions such as controlled hypertension, seasonal
allergies, thyroid and others that will be covered with most insurance
companies. There are some conditions such as diabetes, heart conditions,
cancer, blood diseases, muscular disorders, etc. would cause a person
to be declined coverage. Some conditions such as asthma, severe allergy
treatment, recent surgery, or acid reflux cause companies to cover
everything else except expenses related to these situations. Give
us a call for details.
I've got
a pr-existing medical condition. Can you help me?
Give us a call. It may not be as serious as you think. If it is, we
can still explore your options and make recommendations.
I'm over
65. Can you help me?
Not at this time. In the future we may be able to offer Medicare suppliments
online.
I'm a little
overweight. Can I still get covered?
All companies have height and weight guidelines. We have copies of
all the charts. Give us a call if you think that it's a problem.
I smoke (use
tobacco), so are these rates correct?
No. Our rates are for nonusers of tobacco. Most companies charge anywhere
from 5% to 40% extra for the person(s) portion of the premium only.
Some companies charge the whole family a higher rate, but we can help
here too. This can really change the picture so give us a call to
discuss the extra rates.
Do you have
agents or affiliates near me?
We are constantly adding affiliates all over the state. Click
here for affiliates in you area.
Do you sell
other kinds of insurance?
Nope. Just health insurance and related products.
Do you sell
in states other than Texas?
No. We have no plans to offer our service in other states. We're kind
of partial to Texans, natural or imported.
What about
dental coverage?
Your quotes for medical coverage should include a separate quote for
dental coverage too. |
